The Matt Fong Asian Americans in Public Finance Scholarship is offered by the Asian Americans in Public Finance (AAPF) to California college students enrolled in an approved four-year college or university who are considering a career in the public sector.
The Asian Pacific Community Fund annually awards the Matt Fong Asian Americans in Public Finance Scholarship to undergraduate students in California who are considering a career in the public sector.
Each applicant must be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate in an accredited four-year institution in California, with a major in accounting, business administration, social science, or a closely related discipline.

Who’s eligible for the Matt Fong Asian Americans in Public Finance Scholarship
The Matt Fong Asian Americans in Public Finance Scholarship is subject to eligibility requirements established by the scholarship committee to facilitate the selection.
Any incoming four-year college or university sophomore, junior, or senior who plans to enroll in a California college or university is eligible for the scholarship.
Additionally, he or she must be pursuing a major in one of the following areas: business administration, political science, public policy, or a related field.
The qualifying applicant must have at least 50% Asian ancestry and strong academic standing, as demonstrated by a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Last but not least, because this scholarship is need-based, candidates who can demonstrate their financial need and those with a history of volunteerism or community service will be given precedence.
